Prandelli to Move On ?

By: Marco Stucazzo | March 10th, 2010

aaaaaama

The ashes of Fiorentina’s undeserved Champions League exit are still fuming but that doesn’t mean the media hasn’t started to speculate over coach Cesare Prandelli’s future.

The respected tactician has been doing a stellar job since his arrival in Firenze, culminating with the spanking of Liverpool this year. Unfortunately, Fiorentina’s positive Champions play isn’t working in Serie A. Maybe this explains all the rumours circulating that Cesare’s cycle in Florence might be coming to an end soon.

Some even suggest he could be sacked before the end of the season if the Della Valle get confirmation of his departure but I doubt it. Worst case scenario, Prandelli definitely has options. Voices suggest Juventus have all but locked in Cesare for the 2010-11 Season. Prandelli, born in Brescia, played 89 games for Juve between 1979 and 1985 and has been linked with Torino for a little while and we all know Alberto Zaccheroni is nothing but a temp

Say something Cesare !

“Every time my name is close to Juventus nothing ever happens. I will decide my future in June.”

And if ever the Juventus spot gets taken by a certain Marcello Lippi, I’m positive Prandelli will be thoroughly interviewed by the FIGC. Some media outlets claim that there’s already a two year contract lined up for Prandelli.

This whole situation reminds me a little bit of the Spalletti scenario ; After a bitter defeat in the Champions League against Arsenal something seemed to have changed. However, I’m pretty positive if ever Prandelli leaves Fiorentina it will be done in his image, with class.

    Hahahaha
Sam, I only wrote that because I loved the offside before this blog.
It was one of the few sites you could log onto and just read about your fellow supporters views and the wacky stuff happening in the world of football. There were not articles about transfers that have chances that are in the negatives of happening.
Now everytime I log on there is some BS rumour article that makes me feel like im on goal.com or tribal football.
I find it annoying to read everyday how one of your favourite players or coaches is going to turn there back on there club because there is nothing else to write about.
I guess i should say sorry Marco, as I shouldnt have made it personal…

Marcus.. mate your a fellow Melbournian and you say this kinda shit?!?! wtf man?

And this is only a rumor for now, but it could become true in a matter of months seeing as though Fiorentina are sucking in the league and are out of the champs.

Sam, what does where I come from have to do anything with this. If I was to make an assumption of you it would be that your one of the bandwagoners that supports a Man U, Inter or Barca etc. that follows AFL while thats on and when its over jump on the football bandwagon.
Eventually it will be true as every manager leaves the club, but Fio and Prandelli know that this team is a long term project, they have faith in the coach. He will be there next season and once there squad has stabilized (ie the mutu fiasco) they will be back.
